Education

ISKCON is an educational institution. As such, we need different types of education at different stages of our lives. We need to educate our children, who are born to practicing members, in Krishna consciousness, we need to provide education and training to train future leaders for our movement. We need to train people who are eager to join our movement.

At present, at ISKCON Mayapur we have three educational institutions to our children catering to their differing propensities and interests, three institutions to train adult devotees and one recruitment and training program for new bhaktas. Each of these institutions contains appropriately qualified and dedicated devotee teachers and trainers.

Mayapur Online Education

Mayapur Online Education is a new initiative of ISKCON Mayapur to produce online courses on the primary books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada—Bhagavad-gita As It Is, Srimad-Bhagavatam and Caitanya-caritamrita. This educational project is conducted under the guidance and supervision of ISKCON Mayapur’s Educational Divisional Heads HH Bhakti Purusottama Maharaja and HG Sankarsana Nitai Prabhu.

HH Bhakti Purusottama Swami on Online Education:

One of Srila Prabhupada’s repeated instructions to his followers was to read his books. And we can see practically that the more our devotees study Srila Prabhupada’s books while practicing the process of Krishna consciousness, the more they develop enthusiasm to preach Krishna consciousness. Most of our devotees study Srila Prabhupada’s books nicely when they are helped through some study program or course.

Mayapur Online Education is an ISKCON Mayapur initiative to help devotees thoroughly study Bhagavad-gita As It Is, Srimad-Bhagavatam and other major books of Srila Prabhupada. It offers online courses on these books, and they prepare the devotees to study Bhakti-sastri, Bhakti-vaibhava, etc. I am pleased to recommend them to the worldwide community of Prabhupada’s followers.
